Civil & Water Engineer

The growing engineering consultancy within the Bicacon Group – called Engineerex – is in the market to appoint a Civil and Water Engineer. Engineerex is based in Faerie Glen, Pretoria.

Main Job Description
Project manage and ensure projects are executed: on time; within cost budget; to high quality standards; according to customer requirements; and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Minimum Qualifications/Experience
• BSc / BEng (Honours) in Civil and Water Engineering.
• Registered with ECSA as Pr. Eng. / Pr.Tech.Eng.
• At least 10 years’ hands-on working experience in the water and sanitation sector.
• Experience with AutoCAD, advantageous.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Word
• Asset Management Experience (advantageous)

Competencies
• Ability to undertake feasibility studies, site investigations and technical assessments;
• Ability to Carrying out preliminary and detailed designs;
• Compiling, reviewing and approving technical reports;
• Assisting with compiling tender proposals;

Internship - Project Administrator

The growing engineering consultancy within the Bicacon Group – called Engineerex – is in the market to appoint a Civil and Water Engineer. Engineerex is based in Faerie Glen, Pretoria.

Roles & Responsibilities:
• Creating and maintaining filing systems;
• Diary Management of Project Leader and Project Team;
• Arranging meetings and appointments;
• Attending meetings, taking minutes and keeping notes;
• Ordering and maintaining stationery and equipment;
• Arrange bookings for all travel and accommodation for the projects and maintain and score a supplier database;
• Maintaining project files;
• Conducting project site visits on an ad hoc basis;
• Developing and maintaining databases;
• Data gathering and capturing;
• Provide accurate and timely reports;
• Perform other related duties as required.

Skills
• Excellent excel and Microsoft word skills (non-negotiable);
• Good organising and planning skills;
• Good cataloguing, filing and archiving skills;
• Meticulous attention to detail;
• Good interpersonal skills;
• Ability to work independently.

Knowledge and Qualifications Required:
• Matric
• Post Matric Qualification would be advantageous
• Familiar with working and maintenance of ISO 9001:2015 quality management system
